Slovenia has joined UN Secretary
General Antonio Guterres' call for countries to continue funding
the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the
Near East (UNRWA), after some of its members were accused by
Israel of participating in Hamas' October 2023 terrorist attack
on Israel. The Slovenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement to
Slovenian news agency STA on Tuesday that freezing funds would
jeopardise UNRWA and endanger Palestinian lives in the Middle
East.
