(ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 16 - Russia's state-controlled
broadcaster Russia Today has launched an online portal in
Serbian called RT Balkan, which will cover current regional and
global events "from an alternative perspective," according to
RT. According to Russia Today, the start of RT television
broadcasting in Serbian is scheduled for 2024, while RT Balkan
is already available also on Telegram in Serbian and Russian, as
well as on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube.
RT, which is controlled by the Kremlin and funded by the Russian
state budget, has been barred from broadcasting in the European
Union since March 2022, according to Radio Free Europe. (ANSA).
