Alexandr Stoianoglo, the
pro-Russian Socialists Party candidate in Moldova's presidential
runoff election last Sunday, admitted defeat to the incumbent,
pro-Western President Maia Sandu, after the party labelled her a
"illegitimate president." "The vote count showed that we lost,
even though we won here, in Moldova," Stoianoglo stated on his
Telegram channel, as reported by Russian media.
