No supplementary mini-budgets are
envisaged to bolster the 28-billion package set for approval by
parliament, Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti told the House
budget committee Wednesday.
He added that the superbonus green home improvement subsidy,
which the budget cuts, is "like a nuclear power station we can't
manage" and stressed that the "hallucination" of continuing to
resort to deficit spending must be ended.
"When you make debt you have to pay for it," he said, adding
that "these are billions of euros taken from Italians and
Italian families, which could have been used for welfare
spending".
