A three-year-old boy has died after
falling into an irrigation canal near Spinetoli, in the province
of Ascoli Piceno, while he was in the area with his family.
Family members, including his pregnant mother, had just reported
him missing to authorities when his body was discovered late on
Sunday afternoon.
Rescue services, including 118 emergency medical personnel,
tried to resuscitate him in vain.
