The message 'tourists, go home' has
been discovered on a large dolomite rock where two dinosaur
footprints were discovered in 1992 at the Tre Cime di Lavaredo
on the Dolomites, the local daily newspaper Corriere delle Alpi
reported on Wednesday.
The area is halfway between the Auronzo and Lavaredo mountain
lodges of the three distinctive mountain peaks that are home to
some of the most popular and scenic hikes on the Dolomites.
The discovery was made by Venetian Paralympian athlete and
climber Moreno Pesce, the paper said.
Pesce reportedly discovered the message while training and
posted a video saying "it was not a nice awakening for the Tre
Cime".
The rock with the Eubrontes fossilized dinosaur footprints
dating back to the Triassic period is situated along the trail
connecting the Auronzo and Lavaredo lodges.
