Italy's GDP was flat in the third
quarter of 2024 with respect to the previous three months and up
by 0.4% compared to the equivalent period in 2023, according to
seasonally adjusted and calendar-adjusted figures released by
Istat on Monday.
"Compared to previous quarter, final consumption expenditure
increased by 1% gross fixed capital formation decreased by 1.2%,
imports increased by 1.2% and exports decreased by 0.9%," the
national statistics agency said.
"With respect to the third quarter of 2023, final consumption
expenditure increased by 0.4%, gross fixed capital formation
decreased by 1.1%, imports by 0.6%, and exports by 1%.
"The carry-over annual GDP growth for 2024 is equal to +0.5%".
