The president of the Lower House's
productive activities committee Alberto Gusmeroli said Tuesday
that Stellantis Chairman John Elkann has knocked back a call for
him to report to parliament on the state of the company after
Carlos Tavares quit as CEO of the Italian-French-American
carmaker.
"I had a telephone conversation with John Elkann in response to
my renewed request for a hearing," said Gusmeroli.
"He thanked me for the attention that Parliament continues to
pay to the automotive sector and to Stellantis.
"But he said that, at this stage, he was waiting for the closure
of the talks with the Business and Made in Italy Ministry.
'It will be possible to arrange moment of institutional
discussion later, as also requested by the motions presented in
Parliament".
