Basement club Monza lost 2-1 at 14th
placed Parma to stay glued to the bottom of Serie A on 10
points, three below Venezia, in ex Verona tactician Salvatore
Bocchetti's first game since replacing Alessandro Nesta as coach
after a 2-1 home defeat to Juventus, the northern club's third
straight loss.
The club, which is owned by the Berlusconi family, have 10
points from 18 games.
It has collected 10 losses, seven draws and a single win to
leave it at the foot of the table, five points from the safety
zone represented by Como and Hellas Verona.
Parma rose two places from 16th to 14th, overtaking Como and
Lecce.
In the other match, Genoa won 2-1 at Empoli to stay in joint
19th place with Roma and Torino on 19 points.
Both of Saturday's matches were decided by injury time goals.
