Italian skiing champion Federica
Brignone on Saturday clinched her first World Cup downhill
victory and the 30th overall win of her career in St. Anton,
Austria.
Brignone won the race in 1;16.08.
Italy's Laura Pirovano from Trentino Alto Adige came in fourth
in 1;16.51 while Sofia Goggia fell without reporting injuries.
Switzerland's Malorie Blanc completed the race in second
position (1;16.15), followed by Czech racer Ester Ledecka
(1;16'.26).
US downhill champion Lindsey Vonn, 40, finished in an excellent
sixth place (1;16'.66) in her first World Cup downhill race in
five years.
