Italy is third last in the OECD
employment standings with only Turkey and Costa Rica doing
worse, the Paris-based organisation said Thursday.
Italy's employment rate in the third quarter of 2023 is stable
compared to the second quarter at 61.4 per cent and increases by
1.3 points compared to the third quarter of 2022 but remains
among the worst among OECD countries., according to the OECD
Labour Report presented Thursday, according to which only Turkey
(with 53.9 per cent) and Costa Rica (with 58.2 per cent) do
worse than Italy.
The average employment rate in the OECD countries is 70.1%.
Greece is at 61.8%.
