The CSC research centre of industrial
association Confindustria said Friday that Italy's economic
outlook is "sluggish".
It said in its July 'flash' analysis of the economy that Italy
was experiencing "slow growth"
"Industry is still weak, services are slowing, exports are not
taking off," it said.
It added, however, that there are good signals regarding
consumer spending.
"The timid ECB (interest rate) cut has not yet come through in
household and business rates, inflation is still high in the
Eurozone and the US is slowing the drop in interest rates," it
said.
