Some of the training schemes
envisaged under the post-COVID EU-funded National Recovery and
Resilience Plan (NRRP) recall Soviet-era five year plans,
Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti told the high-profile
annual meeting in Rimini of lay Catholic activist group
Communion and Liberation (CL).
"I could fill you with titles of plans and projects reminiscent
of the five-year plans of the Soviet Union, excuse the quip",
said Giorgetti on the part of the NRRP relating to training.
Giorgetti added that "we have made an enormous effort' to extend
Industry 5.0 with respect to the diktats of Brussels, and that
even in the new Stability Pact, long-term thinking is not
adequately valued and this forces us to make budget policy
decisions that are inevitably short-lived".
The rightwing League party heavyweight was also ironic about
"mythical EU aid".
