An anti-stalking and gender violence
smartwatch is set to be trialled in Rome in a pilot scheme
agreed by Rome Chief Prosecutor Francesco Lo Voi and local
Carabinieri commander General Marco Pecci on Tuesday.
Stalking and murderous violence against women, mostly by
stalkers and exes, are on the rise in Italy.
The anti femicide smartwatch will be linked straight to the
operational centre of Rome Carabinieri's central command, said
Lo Voi and Pecci.
It can be activated directly by the victim when she sees she is
in danger, or will go off automatically in the case of violence
and attacks.
