Sports Minister Andrea Abodi on
Monday criticised the organizers of the 2024 Paris Olympics for
leaving Italian President Sergio Mattarella and other heads of
State out in the rain during Friday's opening ceremony.
"Aside from some striking aspects of the opening ceremony of the
Olympic Games spread over the Seine, the organisational ones
were overwhelmingly negative, at various levels," Abodi told
ANSA.
"Some organisational assessments were made in a careless,
questionable way: I'm thinking of the heads of state, starting
with our president Mattarella, who were left in the rain, while
(French President Emmanuel) Macron and a few others were under
cover. It was a lapse in style'.
