ANSA is bringing together the authorities and opinion leaders in Doha for a Forum organized by the top Italian news agency during the world tour of the Amerigo Vespucci, the Italian Navy's training ship which is on a tour of the globe that started in July 2023 from the port of Genoa.
During the 30th stage of the tour, which takes place in the capital of Qatar from December 17 to 22, Villaggio Italia - the traveling exhibition of Italian excellence that accompanies the Vespucci on its world tour - will host a discussion entitled 'ANSA Meets Qatar: a Success Story' featuring the participation of Defence Undersecretary Matteo Perego di Cremnago.
ANSA Chief Executive Stefano De Alessandri will also be on the stage in a discussion with the Italian Ambassador to Qatar, Paolo Toschi.
It will be an opportunity to exchange ideas about Italy's image in Doha, and vice-versa, and focus on bilateral relations between the two countries.
Three representatives of the design world will also take part in the forum scheduled for Tuesday December 17 at 17:45: Alia Rachid (the founder and CEO of FROMM), Marco Bruno (a lecturer with the Virginia Commonwealth University) and Shaikha Al-Sulaiti of the Doha Design District.
A panel discussion, meanwhile, will be totally dedicated to sport and disability.
Taking part via video link will be Andrea Stella, the creator and founder of 'Lo Spirito di Stella', the world's first catamaran totally accessible to the disabled which is following the Amerigo Vespucci on its world tour.
Civil Commander Tullio Picciolini and Antonino Ventre, an athlete with the defence ministry's paralympic sport group, will also speak on the stage.
