- RIMINI, 03 GEN - After having awarded Rimini among the
best large cities of 2021, the editorial staff of online art
content website Artribune has placed the city's cultural
heritage on another prestigious ranking, naming the recently
inaugurated Fellini Museum as one of the 10 best new museums
inaugurated in Italy and in the world in 2021.
The museum was one of only two Italian museums on the list,
together with the MAXXI of L'Aquila.
The structures were selected on the basis of the quality of
the project, architecture and content.
The Fellini Museum is a 'museum-not museum', part of a larger
historic-centre redevelopment project that winds through several
buildings and a square.
Artribune said the winning aspect was "having understood the
tribute to the filmmaker not in the sense of 'finished work in
itself', but as a living legacy capable of spreading its own
extra echo in various places throughout the city centre."
Piazza Malatesta, located in front of new Rimini cultural
venues such as the Galli Theater and the Park, "becomes the
epicenter of the new Rimini 'cultural ecosystem'".
