Maneskin frontman Damiano David's first solo world tour starts in September 2025, with over 30 dates in Europe, Australia, North America, South America and Asia, his label said Monday.
Two dates are scheduled in Italy: on October 7 at the Unipol Forum in Milan and on October 11 at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome.
The tour (produced by Vivo Concerti) will start on September 11 in Warsaw, then touch several European cities and then continue in Australia and Japan.
From November 7, Damiano will be the protagonist of 4 live shows in South America and the grand finale is the 11 dates in North America, where he will conclude the tour on December 16 at The Fillmore in Washington DC.
The announcement of the tour follows the release of Born With A Broken Heart, the second song and first single of the new solo project of the Maneskin singer.
The song is "uptempo, overwhelming and full of energy, characterized by a theatrical atmosphere that makes it perfect for the live dimension," said the record label.
"Born With A Broken Heart comes after Silverlines, produced by Labrinth: two completely different songs that manage to best show Damiano's versatility." The Roman artist has already given the public a taste of his upcoming concerts with his solo TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he performed Silverlines and Born With A Broken Heart live, at the performance of Silverlines on Che tempo che fa on Italian TV and at an exclusive showcase that David held at le Poisson Rouge in New York, where he also presented a live preview of three new unreleased songs among those that will make up his first solo album.
David, taking a break from the world-beating Roman rock band to pursue a solo career, recently put out a video of Born With A Broken Heart showing the 25-year-old rocker sporting his new 50s screen star look and dancing as if in a classic Hollywood musical.
"The video represents my imagination" said David, whose band became a global smash after winning the Sanremo Song Festival and the Eurovision Song Contest.
"A world where, no matter what, once you walk through the door, everything becomes magical and beautiful.
"It's a way of saying that not everything that is negative will hurt you, but sometimes it will actually take you to the next chapter of your life.
"We all have the ability to transform negative experiences into something meaningful for us." Born With A Broken Heart is a song full of energy, in apparent contrast with the deeply soulful and emotional lyrics.
Despite being born from a difficult period in the singer's life, the song is characterized by a catchy chorus and a sound that gives lightness to the depth of the lyrics.
"When I wrote this song, I was coming out of a very dark moment," he says.
"I felt apathetic and I was afraid of having lost my ability to feel and experience feelings, both positive and negative.
"All this happened at the moment in which I was starting the most important relationship of my life and the fear of not being ready or up to it was enormous," he said, referring to his break-up after nearly six years with Italian model and influencer Giorgia Soleri, and his new relationship with American actress and singer Dove Cameron.
"I think this song was a way to make sense of what I was feeling, looking at everything from a less scary perspective.
"I'm happy that I don't feel that way anymore, but I think that many people can relate to this sense of inadequacy".
