The international community must
continue to give a united response to Russian aggression in
Ukraine, Premier Giorgia Meloni and British Prime Minister Rishi
Sunak agreed in bilateral talks on the sidelines of the CoP 27
conference in Egypt Monday, the premier's office said.
After very cordinal talks, the office said the two leaders
discussed the main challenges facing the international community
starting with the need for a united response to Russian
aggression in Ukraine, and they underlined the importance of
cooperation between Italy and the UK in the G7 and NATO ambits.
Italy and Britain will be able to strengthen the transatlantic
bond together, the office said.
Meloni and Sunak also reaffirmed a desire to further develop
bilateral relations between Rome and London, the premier's
office id.
