The bilateral security guarantee
signed between Italy and Ukraine Saturday "will last 10 years
and is the most complete and important one signed with a
non-NATO country," Premier Giorgia Meloni told a press
conference in Kyiv after inking the deal with President
Volodymyr Zelensky.
Without adding details on Italy's economic commitment, Meloni
explained: "We will continue to support Ukraine in what I have
always deemed the just right of its people to defend itself.
"The necessarily also presupposes military support because
confusing the much bandied word peace with surrender, as some
people do, is a hypocritical approach that we will never share".
