Roman rockers Måneskin on Friday released their new single Gossip in a much-awaited collaboration with Tom Morello, guitarist with Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave, Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band and other headlining groups.
The single will be part of the former Sanremo and Eurovision winners' third album, RUSH!, out next Friday.
"Tom Morello's huge experience allowed us to take our cue to work on the tracks without thinking about it too much," said the band, who sprang to fame after coming second on X-Factor Italia in 2017 and won Sanremo and Eurovision in 2021 with Zitti e Buoni before taking America by storm.
"We will never thank him enough," Måneskin went on, adding "it is an honour for the whole band!".
Tom Morello said "when they told me about an Italian band playing rock I thought 'Really? Come on?. But seeing them play live thrilled me. Their rock charge, their power, and their sensuality are in no doubt and they deserve to be one of the biggest reference points of rock n roll for the new generations.
"I played with them in a studio in Hollywood, they're great, they play really well, they write beautiful songs, they know how to create a strong and authentic connection with their audience, anyone who has a chance to see them play live can say, the public goes wild! They remind me of some of the greatest bands of the 90s".
