Carabinieri police arrested Pasquale
Bonavota, an allegedly 'Ndrangheta boss who had been among
Italy's most wanted men, in Genoa on Thursday.
The 49-year-old was on a special search list because he is
considered highly dangerous.
He was the only suspected member of the Calabria-based mob to
remain at large after the Rinascita-Scott operation in December
2019 in which 334 people were arrested.
The police said they arrested Bonavota inside Genoa cathedral
after following him.
