The Italian Soccer Federation's (FIGC)
federal prosecutor's office on Saturday opened proceedings for
damaging statements after Roma coach Jose' Mourinho said he was
concerned about referee Matteo Marcenaro's alleged lack of
emotional fitness for Sunday's match between Sassuolo and Roma.
Mourinho said he was concerned about Marcenaro because according
to him "the feeling is that he does not have the emotional
stability for a match of this level".
Mourinho, who has been in hot water over criticising official in
the past, also voiced concern over VAR official Marco Lo Bello.
