Gianmarco Tamberi was in a Paris
hospital on a drip just hours before he is due to defend his
Olympic high jump title, his wife Chiara Bontempi said Saturday
afternoon.
The Marche born athlete, 32, had a new attack of renal colic
this morning.
"You are writing me in many, the situation is this," she wrote
on a photo showing the Tokyo Olympic champ with a drip.
"We are in hospital."
Earlier, she had written dejectedly, "I don't know what to say."
