Spending on school books and other
supplies has risen by 15% this year, consumer group Codacons
said ahead of the start of the school year next month.
According to initial estimates by Codacons, the goods with the
highest price increases are backpacks, diaries and 'designer'
pencil cases.
For a designer backpack, expenditure can exceed 200 euros, while
for a pencil case equipped (with pens, pencils and felt-tip
pens) it can cost up to 60 euros.
