A new wave of hacker attacks carried
out by pro-Russian group Noname057(16) targeted the websites of
Italian ministries and institutions on Saturday morning.
The Distributed Denial of Service actions caused the temporary
suspension of services.
The websites attacked included those of the ministries of
foreign affairs, infrastructure and transport, stock-market
regulator Consob, the Carabinieri police, the Navy and Air
Force.
The sites of public transport companies such as Atac in Rome,
Amat in Palermo and Amt in Genoa were also targeted.
