Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti on Wednesday said he wanted to build the government's and the country's credibility when he urged for caution and responsibility in dealing with the budget law, addressing the Lower House during a discussion on the Structural Budget Plan.
"We deal with any budget law with the burden of debt and the relative costs and interests and I envy my European colleagues who have half the encumbrance and when I continue to repeat caution, responsibility and prudence like a mantra, some say 'this sounds like a broken record': no, it's not a broken record because I want to build credibility for this government and this country that enables us, as it has, to lower the spread on Italy's public debt by 100 basis points", explained Giorgetti.
