A 19-year-old has confessed to
allegedly murdering Roberto Comelli, 42, on New Year's Eve in
the northern town of Provaglio d'Iseo, investigative sources
said Thursday.
The teen from the town of Prevalle near Brescia, who is under
arrest on murder charges, told investigators that he stabbed
Comelli after he tried to break into a private party he was
attending with some 80 youths.
After the arrest ordered by local prosecutor Laura Matrone, the
19-year-old was taken to the Canton Montello prison in Bergamo.
Carabinieri police found the murder weapon, a kitchen knife,
close to Comelli's body.
Investigative sources said the murder was likely committed at
the end of a fight whose exact causes have yet to be determined.
