The Turin Book Fair is set to break
attendance records with a projected 222,000 visitors at the end
of the last day Monday after it opened last Thursday.
That compares to 215,000 last year.
Some 84% of visitors got their tickets online, while 29% of them
were under 25 and 61% under 40, said Managing Director Piero
Crocenzi at the closing press conference.
The first edition organized by Annalena Benini, this year's fair
features prominent appearances by Salman Rushdie, Roberto
Saviano, Don Winslow, James Ellroy, Antonio Scurati, and Luciano
Canfora.
