The Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Luca Di Gianfrancesco had a very cordial and fruitful conversation on Monday with the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Mukhtar Babayev, who also currently holds the position of President-designate of Cop29, scheduled to be held in Baku from 11 to 22 November 2024.
While expressing his sincere appreciation for the excellent state of bilateral relations,' the embassy in Baku said, 'Minister Babayev particularly highlighted the excellent cooperation established with Minister Pichetto Fratin and the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security. During the meeting, opportunities for Italian companies in Azerbaijan were also discussed, particularly in the renewable energy sector, as well as the possibilities for cooperation in view of the Cop29, also on the basis of what emerged at the Retreat of the Special Envoys for the Climate held in Shamakhi on 27 July.
