New signing Paulo Dybala said
Tuesday that he was confident Juventus could go one better next
season and win the Champions League.
"Last year Juventus had an incredible season," the
21-year-old Argentine striker said at his presentation as a
player for Juve, who claimed the Serie A-Italian Cup double and
were beaten by Barcelona in the Champions league final last
term.
"We can do even better this year, by winning the
Champions".
Dybala, who who scored 13 goals in Serie A for Palermo
last season, moved for 32 million euros and is one of a raft of
signings the Turin giants have made.
Indeed, Dybala will have plenty of competition for a
starting slot even though Carlos Tevez has left to return to
Boca Juniors.
Spanish forward Alvaro Morata will be difficult to budge
after his heroics last season and Juve have also bought Croatia
forward Mario Mandzukic from Atletico Madrid and Italy forward
Simone Zaza from Sassuolo.
Dybala said this situation would benefit the club.
"It helps to keep us on our toes because we're playing in
three competitions and there's also the Super Cup in August," he
said.
"There's plenty of desire to do well here and we want to
show this on the pitch."
Juve have also beefed up the midfield, after Italy
playmaker Andrea Pirlo moved to New York City, with the arrival
of Germany midfielder Sami Khedira from Real Madrid.
