Serb legend Novak Djokovic said
Italian world number four Jannik Sinner played "great" tennis
and "shocked" and "outclassed" him in the semi-final defeat that
scotched his bid to extend his record Australian Open wins to
eleven on Friday.
"I congratulate Sinner for playing a great game, and a great
tournament so far. He is deservedly in the final. He completely
outclassed me today. I was shocked," said the record 24 slam
winner, for many fans the greatest player ever.
"It's one of my worst matches played in a Grand Slam
tournament," continued the world No.1.
"I tried, I fought, but he did everything better than me.
"The crowd was fantastic with both of us".
