Inter can seal the 20th Serie A title
of their history, and the right to wear a second star on their
shirts, in next week's derby against AC Milan despite being held
to 2-2 draw at San Siro by Cagliari on Sunday.
With six games to go, the runaway leaders remain 14 points clear
at the top of the table as second-placed AC Milan were also
held, 3-3, at second-bottom Sassuolo.
So a derby win would give Simone Inzaghi's men an unassailable
17-point advantage.
The top four all drew as Juventus, who are 20 points off the
pace in third, battled out a goalless draw with city rivals
Torino and surprise-package Bologna, who are four points further
back, drew 0-0 too at home with Monza.
Fifth-placed AS Roma's game at Udinese was abandoned with the
score at 1-1 after Roma defender Evan Ndicka had a bad turn and
had to be rushed to hospital with chest pains.
Champions Napoli's troubled season continued when they were held
2-2 at home by Frosinone, dealing a blow to their hopes of
qualifying for European competition.
They are eighth with 49 points.
