The car producer Škoda Auto is
taking significant steps towards carbon neutrality with the
launch of a project by its subsidiary ŠKO-ENERGO. The project
aims to modernize the plant in Mlada Boleslav, enabling it to
rely entirely on biomass for energy production. With a projected
cost of 141 million, this heating plant upgrade will be one of
the largest endeavors of its kind in the Czech Republic.
Construction is set to begin in 2024.
